Regular Update, Missing Pledge Manager Surveys & a Production Delay

Hello everyone,

We hope you guys are enjoying the v1.0 version of Historica Arcanum: Echoes of Renaissance! We are currently working on the physical end of Historica Arcanum: Echoes of Renaissance, while working on new places we will be taking the Historica Arcanum series.

Missing Pledge Manager Surveys

As we are in the process of finishing up mass production, the window of finishing your Pledge Manager Survey is closing.

We still have around 10% of backers that didn’t finish up their surveys. This means we don’t have your pledges included in our production numbers, and we don’t know where to ship your packages.

If you haven’t done so, please finish up your Pledge Manager survey. While we may have a chance to fulfill the late-comers after we are done with mass manufacturing and mass shipping, it could be too late.

Production Update

While we are almost ready on all fronts, we had a major molding issue for the dice set and the miniatures that was overlooked in the prototyping stage by our manufacturing partners. Last week, we tried to find a band-aid solution to the problem, but in the end, we decided that we’d rather wait a bit more and keep the quality of the product to our standards.

Therefore, we will delay the fulfilment of the box sets by around 10 weeks to account for a brand new mold and restarted production on the affected components. We are working with our manufacturer to try to make sure this problem doesn’t alter the schedule of our hardcover bundles. That being said, it may, as manufacturers prefer to handle all packaging at once.

We are terribly sorry for this delay, but we had to pick between fast and good, and we preferred good.

Check your emails - the definitive edition of Historica Arcanum: Echoes of the Renaissance is now LIVE!

Echoes of Renaissance, Seranade of the Damned v1.0 are all now available to download from your BackerKit dashboards!

These versions of the books contain all our balance and bug fixes, new maps, a few new art pieces, and more!

With the Digital Library, you can access VTT tokens, Soundtrack files, Standalone Maps, printable decks and more. You can download the Digital Library for free from Metis Webstore!

Production Update

As we wrap up the creative work on Echoes of Renaissance, our production team already started the manufacturing process.

We will send out updates and sneak peeks as we receive news from our manufacturing partners!

Most importantly, everything is in order and goes according to our schedule. We hope to start sea freight and air deliveries by the end of August 2025.

Hello everyone - now is the time to check your emails for PDFs!

As dawn breaks, your ship cautiously enters the Venetian Lagoon, navigating past the northern edge of the Lido barrier island. After gliding cautiously past several more low-lying islands of silt and short trees, the islands of the city of Venice come into view, like a mirage rising from the morning mist and green, brackish sea. As you approach, the bell towers and glittering marble façades start taking more definite shape. You sail past dozens of sleek, black gondolas–their pilots having woken early to ensure they are in the right locations to take the well-to-do where they need to go. To your right, you spy the fishing boats lined up on the Riva degli Schiavoni: these several boats are the late risers, as the majority have already headed out for the day. The Palazzo Ducale suddenly comes into view, the pink tiles glowing sumptuously in the morning sun. The Campanile di San Marco looms high above, the tallest point in the city, and its largest bell, the marangona, rings loudly, announcing to all in the city that it is time to get to work.

The PDF release of Historica Arcanum: Echoes of Renaissance and A Serenade for the Damned is here! We have been hard at work on the books over the past few months, and we are thrilled to finally share them with you in almost-finished form. 

Again, we want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for backing this project. We always endeavor to deliver products that are unique in the TTRPG space, and this is perhaps our most ambitious, genre-bending project to date. We hope you like it, and happy adventuring! 

The Beta Release

Bear in mind that these PDFs are the beta release, meaning there are still a couple dungeon maps that will be added, and there may be a typo here and there. If you find any errors, please let us know! You can email us or let us know on our Discord server. Then we will make any and all corrections and adjustments before we print the physical books.
