We are proud to reveal ASTRA ARCANUM, a genre defining Sci-Fi Tabletop Roleplaying epic and the continuation of the Historica Arcanum's grand narrative. Follow the Campaign to get notified on everything, including the upcoming free Starter Ruleset!
A Brand New Tabletop RPG
ASTRA ARCANUM features a d20 Dice Pool System in an intuitive and familiar ruleset that is very easy to jump into. Enjoy tactical and deadly combat, tense social encounters, starship battles, and more, with a system built from ground up to bring an epic Sci-Fi campaign to your tabletop.
Age of the Sunsail and of Armigers
Starships are adorned with sails of gold and alloy as they make their way amidst planets, gliding through the man-made tides of sunlight. Armigers, infamous mercenary bands bonded by power, money, and ideals, have become the favored weapon of many patrons. Now, these warriors explore ancient research stations, derelict warships, and lost laboratories; clash against creatures of bygone experiments and arcane cataclysms; and fend off against raiders, scavengers, or other Armigers hoisting different heraldry in the void or in the planetfall.
An Occult Future
As humankind ascended towards the stars, they brought the power to break apart reality with them. In ASTRA ARCANUM, magic is pervasive, powerful, and very dangerous to the caster and the world around them. Arcanists may be heralded as saviours and the most powerful of Armigers, or be cast aside from their communities and even marked for death. You can play as a Psion, accessing a vast grimoire of spells aimed at turning combat and social encounters to your favor; or learning to hunt down mages, disrupting their spells and hexes, as a Witch Hunter.
A Deadly Ruleset
To adventure off in the Age of the Sunsail is to live with the expectation of mortal peril of the highest caliber. The combat in ASTRA ARCANUM is deadly, with regular hit points replaced with a targeted damage system. Take out limbs, life support systems, bleed or suffocate your foes - and make sure you keep a Combat Medic in your squad, for the same can be done unto you!
Massive Character Customization Options
Starting from six unique classes, your characters will evolve towards hundreds of meaningful character archetypes. From a twin revolver-wielding Gunslinger Armiger, to a Psion Bondbreaker expert at disrupting cybernetics with reality-bending arcane might, the system supports exactly who you want to be in the Age of the Sunsail.

If you encounter any issues—whether it’s with your pledge, shipping details, or digital downloads—just let us know, and we’ll sort it out right away!
No Rush, But Here’s the Timeline
You still have time to finalize your order before we ship the packages, so don’t stress! However, we will begin locking orders and charging cards at the beginning of March.
This doesn’t mean you can’t make changes! You’ll still be able to adjust your order and update your shipping address if needed.

Smoke Test Begins Now
We are starting with a smoke test, meaning 5% of backers will receive the Pledge Manager link first. If all goes well, we’ll roll it out to the remaining 95% of you shortly after.
